Hello my name is Marie. I'm going to tell you about a time when this scary looking guy tried to put me in this net. It all started when my owner, Veronica, let me out to take care of my business. I was taking care of it real good until, from the coner of my eyes, I saw something black and furry. I knew exactly who it was it that big meanie Mr. Biggles, he's our neighbors cat, he's always making fun of me just because I'm tiny, he likes to call me Mousy.
Today he called me Mousy and honestly I had enough of him. When those five words came out of his mouth I could not take it no more so I left after him like a gun bullet. His eyes gotten so big they looked liked if they were going to pop out! He ran and I was so mad and trying to get that mean Mr. Biggles that I didn't notice that I had left the yard. When I realized I was nowhere close to my yard I started to get scared. Mr. Biggles wasn't even in sight to ask him at least if he could help me and I wouldn't chase him anymore, but no there was no sign of him ANYWHERE! I knew I was alone with all these people looking at me.
I knew I was out of the house for more than 25 minutes, but it seemed longer. I wondered if Veronica knew I was missing? Had she called the rescue team? I wondered if she was going crazy, and wondered if she was pulling out her hair. I started to laugh at the image of her pulling her hair, but then I stopped when I heard a big BANG! I jumped up and noticed a big scary animal. At first I didn't know what it was until I saw its big teeth and mouth drewling and his fur all crazy looking like if they hadn't brushed his hair in centuries. I knew it was a LION! As soon as I saw those scary teeth I ran out of the dark ally, the one I steped into to hide from all these humans, and ran!
I tried to remember if any of these streets looked familar but I couldn't remember. I did see one car that looked familar. The guy driving the big white van looked at me with a great grin in his face and steped on his brake. I just stood there frozen, my heart beating real fast, I felt as if my heart would pop out. He was coming towards me when he took out that big net! Good thing that I unfroze and ran away quickly. I knew I had to run away fast and from him because I knew who he was he was the guy who took one of my bestes friends, Lucille. She was a dog like me, she used to live in the house next to me but then one day she got in a big fight with another dog and the guy with the net came for her, I felt real bad when he took her away. Now I had to run fast away from him so I won't end up in the same place as Lucille.
When I finally lost sight of him I saw a familiar place, it was where Veronica takes me to get me my treats, I knew the way home from here. My heart was pouning so fast and hard, but of excitment. I was walking home when all of a sudden CRASH! something traps me. Im scared and try to get out, when I look up I see him! Then out of no where the LION comes out and bite him in his behind! I run fast and then I see my home! I was sooooo happy to see it, it was the first time I had ever been this happy to see my house. I go back in the same way I got out and wait for Veronica to open the door. She opens it and picks me up and kisses me and starts talking like her baby. I have now learned my lesson to not chase no more cats!
